These tumultuous times are calling us to redefine resilience and wellness, reimagine our future together, and learn to thrive rather than just survive in turmoil.

As crisis after crisis continue to unfold chaos around us, how do we stay afloat and keep from drowning in a turbulent sea of emotion? What is our floating device?

The skills of grounding, centering, releasing, orienting to relative safety and mutual support, and resourcing physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Trying to relax by suppressing distress is physiologically impossible. Releasing unprocessed energies is a pre-requisite to relaxation. In fact, we thrive when we are able to regulate, rather than relax. Our nervous systems are designed to release excess stress and, as a result, expand our capacity to show up with fortitude and vitality to meet the demands of our age.

Building our capacity to cope with stress, adversity, and change has never been more vital. Without communities of care, we may slip into compassion fatigue, depression, dissociation, and even despair. Let’s cultivate practices together to grow our garden of resilience and move from surviving to thriving.

Bring a journal or sketchbook, colored pens or crayons, and your favorite props to build a cozy yoga nidra nest.
